DETAILS:
1) The dinner will be a covered dish affair in order to simplify need for advanced head counts. Folks can make last minute decisions if necessary. Food will be Southern cooking at its best!

2) BBQ will be provided to supplement the fried chicken and other meats that will be brought by family members. Also, a reunion like this one would not be complete without a taste of North Carolina barbecue.

3) For cousins traveling great distances and where preparing food may be inconvenient or not practical, a cash option will be provided in lieu of bringing food.  A donation can be put in the "hat" on reunion day.  Cash received will be used to cover the costs of the barbecue pig, etc. More information later.

4) There will be a Reunion Registration Table in the entrance area of the Agri-Expo Center.  Specially designed name tags will be provided to help attendees identify cousins that may have become "better looking" with age. [identification may include such ideas as different color backgrounds or strips to represent families. Associated family tree information or other methods may be devised to help understand where cousins "fit" in the family structure]

5) The "Reunion Program Booklet" will serve  as an information guide and reunion schedule.

6) Photographs of those attending is planned and will be put on the website, following the reunion.

7) A suggestion has been made to take various group family photos (for example, all of the attending members of the Herbert Oates family - descendants of David Jethro Oates and "Minnie" Martin Oates)

8) Video tape will be "shot" during all reunion events and copies may be purchased at costs, after the reunion.
