This website would like to recognize and honor our ancestor pioneers that left Sampson County, North Carolina in the 1700s and 1800s to settle Colonial America, the new frontiers of Texas, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, Indian Territory, and other parts of the US and the descendants of these pioneers.  We, especially, would like to thank those descendants who have volunteered significant time and energy to search for answers to the many genealogical questions.  It is through their dedicated research and preservation of family history that we are able to honor these pioneers and all of our Oates ancestors.
